George was a KGB agent who operated a clandestine call center in a residential basement. Using a variety of different telephone handsets, he relays coded messages between the Center and agents in the field.
George is killed by Andrew Larrick in the episode Yousaf. It is unknown whether George was the sole operator of such a service, though after his death a similar service is now operated by Joan.
